Quartz Sand 40kg
Quartz sand is mined from natural sources and refined by washing, drying, and sieving in accordance with EN 12904. It is nearly round in grain shape and has a generally smooth surface. It is preferred for use as the bottom layer in dual media filters and also for use in single-layer filtration. Coarse quartz gravel, i.e. grain sizes > 2 mm, is available for use as support gravel.
Quartz (quartz sand) is hard, wear-resisting, and stable chemical properties silicate mineral whose main component is SiO2. Quartz (quartz sand) color is white or colorless translucent, hardness 7, no cleavage, conchoidal fracture, oil sheen, and a relative density of 2.65. it has obvious anisotropy, does not dissolve in acid, is slightly soluble in KOH solution, melting point is 1750 ℃. Quartz sand filtration system is using quartz sand as a filtration medium, at a certain pressure, if the higher turbidity of the water passes through quartz, it can retain remove suspended solids, organic matter, colloidal particles, microorganisms, chlorine, odor, and some heavy metal ions effectively. The water treatment plant will equip different quartz (different diameters), depending on water production.
